The “ingredients don’t lie” ideology has yet to fail beauty influencer Hyram. Hyram believes that the best skin care products do not have the highest price tag, neither are manufactured by the most popular brands. Rather, he promotes choosing the prime products that work best for your skin type. Here are some of his recommendations.
Hyram has the facial cleansing remedy
Our skin goes through a lot. In that, it is constantly fighting the harm caused by weather conditions, pollution, & germs. For this reason, it is so important to cleanse your face on a daily basis. Firstly, it’s important to know your skin type so that you can choose the best product for your skin. Secondly, finding a good cleanser is no easy task. There are hundreds of them available claiming to all have the same benefits. I even created my own versions using home-based products. So where to start? Do not worry, Hyram is here to help!
For those of you with oily skin, Hyram’s favorite cleanser ever is Youth to the People Kale & Green Tea spinach cleanser. Highly recommended for removing all of the dirt out of your pores, leaving your skin clean & fresh, yet your skin doesn’t feel dry afterward. On the contrary, for dry skin, we have Matcha Hydrating Cleanser from Krave Beauty. Whilst cleansing your skin, this will also leave your skin hydrated. Hence, the perfect product for those with dry skin! For the most part, avoid using any scrubs on your face & most importantly, do not buy a cleanser containing Sodium Lauryl Sulfate as this can badly damage your skin. Nobody wants that.
Hyram’s advice for oily skin
If like Hyram, you also suffer from oily & greasy skin, the absolute last thing that you would want to do is to risk making it worse. So, take care of trying out new products. Oil-based products won’t necessarily make your skin more greasy so don’t be afraid to use them. Hyram highlights that with regards to this, it’s more important to take into consideration the climate in the place where you live. With this in mind, if you live in a particularly humid place, avoid using oils as this will be super uncomfortable for both you and your skin. Instead, stick to using a moisturizer. Most importantly, avoid any products that are traditionally used for cooking, such as coconut oil & olive oil. Keep those firmly in the kitchen!
Moisturising is always essential
So many of us avoid moisturising our skin as it’s time-consuming and is it really necessary? Even if you have naturally oily skin, Hyram says that using the right moisturiser will in fact help your skincare problems. Above all else, he encourages you to avoid any moisturisers containing any type of alcohol. A moisturiser containing alcohol will strip away the hydration of your skin, which is exactly what we are trying to avoid. In addition, avoid fragranced moisturiser as this can often irritate your skin.
So, what is the solution? If you have oily skin, Hyram says that you will benefit from a gel or water cream moisturiser. As a much more light & fast-absorbing moisturiser, this will not be too heavy on your skin throughout the day. In contrast, if you have a combination to dry skin, opt for a cream that delivers deep hydration & moisture. But remember to only choose a product with clean & effective ingredients.
